Blueberry Tiramisu

I was visiting my Khalto (Aunt) Fida’ in Jerusalem the first time I tried this dessert. Each time I make it, I think of her and realize how much I miss my relatives and how much I miss beautiful Palestine.

This flavorful dessert is SUPER easy to make. Although it’s not officially a Tiramisu, it definitely has similar flavors and it also has the same, light texture.  And thankfully, no ovens are required. All you’ll need are a few ingredients and a refrigerator.

Ingredients

4-5 packages soft/Fresh Ladyfingers (you can often find these in the freezer aisle where pie crusts are or in the supermarket bakery)
1 pint heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons Nescafé
1 can blueberry pie filling
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons sugar (optional)

Other supplies:

1 9×13 glass tray or 6-8 small glass cups

Step 1: Using your mixer, blend heavy whipping cream until soft and fluffy. You may add 2 teaspoons of sugar to the heavy whipping cream to sweeten before blending if you’d like a sweeter taste.

Step 2: Stir 2 tablespoons of Nescafé into the milk until dissolved.

Step 3: Quickly dip ladyfingers into the milk and coffee and then place into glass container of choice.

Step 4: Layer on whipping cream and smooth out.

Step 5: Add another layer of ladyfingers dipped in milk and coffee.

Step 6: Continue to layer whipping cream and ladyfingers. When you’ve got your desired number of layers, spread the blueberry pie filling on top.

Step 7: Refrigerate for at least 6 hours and serve cold.

Sahtain!
